What are the
causes of superfluous or abnormal hair growth?
There can be several causes. Heredity and genetics
can be a definite cause. Glandular imbalances or defects may be present especially during
puberty, pregnancy or menopause. Certain medications can stimulate hair growth. Acquired
causes may be from tweezing, waxing or depilatories.
From what areas can hair be permanently
removed?
You can have hair permanently removed from any area except moles, warts, nostrils, pubic
area or inside of the ear.
Is electrolysis approved and safe?
Yes. Physicians and medicals professionals agree that electrolysis is the only method
which can permanently remove unwanted hair. Nothing else works.
How much does it cost?
This depends on the density and the amount
of hair to be removed. You are invited to schedule a complimentary examination and
consultation with our Director who can inform you of the fees involved.
Does it hurt?
Much less than tweezing a hair. In fact, most of Dagmar's client's only feel a slightly warm
sensation during treatment. Dagmar's treatment has been developed with the client in mind.
To that end we have added many proprietary "extras" to help achieve maximum
client comfort.
Is electrolysis really permanent?
Absolutely. Once the papilla has been
completely coagulated, it can no longer supply the hair root with life-sustaining
nourishment.
Will any hair grow back?
Yes, a small percentage depending on many factors which our director can explain to you.
Due to the fact that hair grows in stages, all hair in a given area will not be visible on
the surface at the same time. Thus, the hair may appear a few days following treatment,
but these hairs have come from follicles which were not previously treated. These are new
hairs and not regrowth hairs.
How frequently do I need to come in?
After a thorough examination, your Clinic Director will advise you of your treatment
schedule. The importance of regularity of treatment cannot be over emphasised.
